Balangir: Four persons died following an explosion at a rock patch in an agricultural plot on Wednesday at Halanbhata village in Turekela police station limits. One of the deceased, Kailash Majhi, 30, has been identified as the owner of the plot. The others who died in the accident are Pramod Kanda, 18, Siddhe Sagria, 30, and Bhakta Bachha, 27. Police said the incident occurred when the four were trying to break the rock patch with dynamite. Bhubaneswar: The CBSE authorities announced the results of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for admission to BDS and MBBS courses in colleges across the country. Around 23,000 students from the state had appeared for the test. Counselling will begin after the state merit list is out. . Berhampur: A 42-year-old man was arrested on charges of raping a minor in a Ganjam village. Panchu Sahu, who works in Surat, had come home to Bhetani village in Aska for his daughter's wedding when he raped a 12-year-old girl while she was alone at home, police said. The victim’s mother lodged an FIR based on which Sahu was arrested. Cuttack: Counselling for admission to various courses at KIIT University ended on Wednesday. This year, over 1.60 lakh students, including candidates from 20 countries, had applied to the varsity. Of them, 1.50 lakh took the KIIT Entrance Exam online at 120 centres in 54 cities across the country.
