Vendor killed

Bhubaneswar: Police have detained six persons in connection with a murder at Palasuni in Mancheswar police limits on Sunday night. The body of Md Bala, a native of Bengal, was found by the road with his throat slit. The cops said the victim, a street vendor, had come to the city five days ago.

Body found

Bhubaneswar: The body of a woman, aged around 22 years, was found from a nullah near Rairangpur Link Road in Mayurbhanj district on Monday. Police said the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained. The police suspect the woman had been raped and killed.

Sex racket

Bhubaneswar: Police on Monday busted a sex racket operating in a hotel near VSS Marg in Sambalpur district. The police have rescued five young women hailing from Bengal and have also arrested four customers. 

Tech Mahindra

Bhubaneswar: Chief executive officer and managing director of Tech Mahindra, C.P. Gurnani, on Monday met chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat. Naveen advised Gurnani to create more employment.
