Baby dies 

Berhampur: An eight-month-old baby boy undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here after being branded with hot iron died on Thursday.

Bhubaneswar: A day after Union health ministry announced inclusion of eight languages for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test from next academic year, the state government on Thursday sought Centre’s intervention to incorporate Odia as medium of examination “in the larger interest of the students”. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
