OJEE date

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be held on May 14. Students intending to take the examination to get admission into BPharm, MBA, MCA, MTech, MArch, MPlan, MPharm, BAMS, BHMS, integrated MBA, lateral entry BTech and BPharm can start applying online from February 3. They can visit the official website www.ojee.nic.in to fill up the online form. Students can fill up the online form till March 15 and can download their admit cards from April 20.  

Murder

Paralakhemundi: A youth allegedly killed his 26-year-old cousin at Tatipeti village in Gajapati on Friday. The deceased has been identified as D. Chinnarao. Sources said Chinnarao went to his aunt’s house to resolve a family quarrel. While he was trying to pacify his cousin B. Umesh, the latter lost cool and stabbed Chinnarao with a sharp weapon. He was rushed to Gurandi Hospital in a critical condition where doctor declared him dead. Police have arrested Umesh.

Bus accident

Keonjhar: As many as 14 passengers were injured when a private bus lost control and overturned after hitting a tree at Kaliaprasad on Thursday morning. The incident took place at around 4.30am when the bus was on its way to Ranchi from Bhubaneswar. The injured persons were first rushed to Champua Hospital. Three of the 14 injured persons were later shifted to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital after their condition deteriorated.
