Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25: Centralised counselling for various MTech courses under the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)-2011 will begin from Friday at the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar.
The counselling process will continue till August 31.
In the first phase, candidates, who want to take admission on the basis of their ranks in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (Gate)-2011, are required to report at CET on August 26.
Similarly, candidates, who have qualified in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) this year, have been asked to attend the counselling process for MTech courses in pharmacy on August 29.
The counselling would be conducted between 9am and 5pm.
Apart from this, the counselling process will also include aspirants, who have secured ranks in the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT), which was conducted by the OJEE authorities for admission into engineering, technology and pharmacy courses.
The candidates must report at the centre 30 minutes before their scheduled reporting time and produce their rank cards along with the original online registration slip to go ahead with the counselling.
If candidates are allotted a government college, they are supposed to make a part admission fee payment of Rs16,000 in the form of a demand draft at CET.
In case of private colleges, the candidates have to deposit a demand draft of Rs 30,000. Besides, a non-refundable amount of Rs 450 with the candidate’s name, signature and OJEE-2011 roll number on the back of the draft has to be given.
Applicants who have qualified under Gate or GPAT entrance examinations and do not have an OJEE rank, have to pay an additional amount of Rs 550 in the form of a bank draft towards registration fee.
The OJEE authorities have informed that candidates who come without necessary original documents will not be allowed to take part in the counselling process. OJEE offers M.Tech courses in 24 disciplines in pharmacy, architecture and engineering.
At present, 14 institutes offer masters in pharmacy courses under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and 24 institutes offer M.Tech courses in engineering across the state.
Earlier, the OJEE was held in two phases — on May 1 in master of pharmacy and on May 8 in master in architecture and master in engineering courses.
