Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been ranked third in terms of investments. The state secured over seven per cent share in total live investments worth over Rs 177 lakh crore from both public and private sources across India. Only Maharashtra (over 11 per cent) and Gujarat (8.5 per cent) are ahead of the state in this regard, said a state-specific study conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.
Murder cuffs
Angul: Police on Thursday arrested two accused in the triple murder case here. The cops also seized the weapon used in the crime and a motorcycle from their possession. The police seized a blood-stained dagger and a blood-stained towel from the jungle near Bankadhar Sahi village, and a cloth belonging to one accused from a nullah in Kalapatanali village.
Naveen letter
Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday demanded a new Rajdhani Express instead of diversion of the existing one via Sambalpur. In a letter to Union railways minister Piyush Goyal, Naveen expressed displeasure over East Coast Railway’s plan to divert the existing Rajdhani Express and run the same via Sambalpur from next February.
