Maoists attack school

A group of suspected Naxalites attacked a government primary school and shot dead two members of a family residing on the school premises in Jamui district, around 165km southeast of Patna, in the small hours of Saturday.

Patna: A group of suspected Naxalites attacked a government primary school and shot dead two members of a family residing on the school premises in Jamui district, around 165km southeast of Patna, in the small hours of Saturday.

The incident occurred around 2am when the residents were asleep. Around 100 extremists armed with arms and ammunition surrounded the school at Pacheshwari village under the jurisdiction of Barhat police station and fired at Madan Koda and Pramod Kora, said to be brothers.
