RSP dominated most of the proceedings and outplayed JSPL 3-1 to lift the Inter-steel Hockey Champion’s trophy. Jerome Lakra scored a brace, while Bernard Lakra scored one goal for RSP. Mukesh Minz scored the sole goal for JSPL.
Other than RSP and JSPL, Bhilai Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel Plant, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam, and Tata Steel were the other teams who took part in the tournament. The matches were played in a round robin format.
