Participants at the 22nd edition of Raahgiri held in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

In an attempt to promote plantation, visitors prayed to trees on the entire stretch from Master Canteen Square to Ram Mandir Square. They were joined by state labour minister Prafulla Mallick and mayor Ananta Narayan Jena.

A number of activities such as puppetry and face painting were held to mark World Day Against Child Labour.

As the World Oceans Day was celebrated on June 8, a scene of an ocean was created by a maritime academy from the city, in which people were given tips on how oceans are under threat due to rising pollution.

The number of visitors on Sunday was, however, less this week owing to the heatwave condition prevailing in the state.
