Koraput: Acting on a tip-off, police arrested two persons for smuggling ganja and recovered at least 22kg of the contraband from their possession in the district on Wednesday night.The arrested persons have been identified as Sahadev Nayak, 32, of Boipariguda in the district and Komal Prasad Namdeo, 31, a resident of Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh, said the police.

"We were tipped-off about the consignment and the duo were carrying the ganja on a motorcycle. They were waylaid near Gandhi Chhack and arrested," said Jeypore police station inspector-in-charge Baleswar Gidhi. Also, the police seized a motorcycle, three mobile phones and Rs 2,000 in cash from the duo's possession at the time of arrest.
