Cuttack, Sept. 14: The Odisha Cricket Association is leaving no stone unturned to ensure foolproof security for the one-day international (ODI) clash between India and Australia at Barabati Stadium on October 26.

The state cricket body has decided to upgrade existing security measures for the match by installing 150 close circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the stadium. Only 74 CCTV cameras were in operation during the last India-West Indies ODI match played at Barabati in 2011.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Ashirbad Behera said the CCTV cameras would be installed at various galleries, corporate boxes, VVIP areas, ground, entry and exit gates, parking and other sensitive zones in and around the stadium.

On August 23, a three-member official delegation from Australia had discussed security aspects with senior police officials of the state. Later, the delegation had expressed satisfaction regarding the facilities at Barabati Stadium.

Behera said that the OCA had decided to introduce a bar-code system for the one-day clash tickets to prevent duplication.

Sources said a private company would engage around 300 persons to verify tickets at the entry gates to the Barabati sports complex.

The state cricket association will print 45,000 tickets, out of which 20,350 will be sold to the public through counters at Barabati Stadium from October 23.

Nearly, 4,500 tickets will be sold online.

Earlier, the OCA had announced to raise the price of tickets for this upcoming match. Spectators would now have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 400 for a seat in galleries 1, 2, 3, and 4. The cost of ticket for the special enclosure would be Rs 2,000 instead of Rs 1,500.
