Berhampur, April 27: Krushna Chandra Sahu, 45, a fish wholesaler, was injured in a bomb attack here yesterday night.

Ritu Behera, 25, who earlier used to work with Sahu, attacked him with a bomb at Kamapalli fish market within the limits of Baidyanathpur police station when he was sitting in his shop in the market located only a few yards away from the police station.

“We have arrested Behera and registered a case against him after Sahu lodged a complaint against him,” said a police officer. “Fortunately, the bomb missed the target when Ritu hurled it from a distance. But, I suffered injury in my hand after the splinters of the bomb hit me. The chair on which I was sitting was damaged,” said Sahu. “The accused hid himself behind a closed kiosk after the incident. But, we reached the spot immediately and overpowered him,” said inspector in charge of Baidyanathur police station Ajay Kumar Mishra.
