Bhubaneswar, April 22: All eyes are set on the on-screen pair of Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu, who are to romance each other in their upcoming film Sushant Mani directed Mun Eka Tumara, to be released during Raja.
Namita Agarwal, well-known singer and member of the production house of Sarthak Movies that recently announced the film, said it was the latest entrant in the box office slugfest that would take place during the festival with Arindam’s Ashok Samrat and Anubhav Mohanty’s Hata Dhari Chalutha.
“We produce only a few films a year but make sure that the films go on to create milestones,” said Sitaram Agarwal, the producer.
This will be Sabyasachi and Archita’s seventh film together. “I have lost 12kg to do justice to my character. Moreover, I play a mute character, therefore, watched many Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton films to get the right expression for the character,” the actor said. Talking about his leading lady, he said: “There is a new-found confidence in Archita owing to her successful stint in a popular beauty pageant.”
Mani said the story revolved around a marriage, where Archita plays the bride. “It’s a family film. Raja festival is a time for merry making for the Odias. Such quality movies will surely create new audience base for Odia films,” said the film editor-turned-director.
The film has a huge star cast, including veterans such as Mihir Das, Bijay Mohanty, Mahasweta Ray, Harihara Mohapatra, Usashi Mishra and youngsters such as Ragini, Debasish Patra, Lovely and Prithviraj, among others. Bikash Das has composed the music and Abhiram Mishra will look after the cinematography.
The opening sequences of the film are presently being shot in an extravagant set near the Nandankanan zoo.
