Bhadrak: Dharmra port authorities have alleging that "unscrupulous" elements were defrauding job seekers through fake websites of the port and lodged an FIR.

They charged Rs 400 for each application, they alleged.

"We lodged the FIR after the matter came to our knowledge," said the port's deputy manager (corporate communication) Subasish Mishra.

He added: "We appeal to the parents and youths to be cautious and stay away from such fake advertisements. www.dhamraport.in is fake. Our official website is http://www.adaniports.com/dhamra-port."

Bhadrak police said they have initiated a probe after receiving a complaint. "We have registered a case under the IT Act and referred it to the cyber cell," said Bhadrak additional superintendent of police K.C. Parida.
