Bhubaneswar, Feb. 13: A five-day-long property exhibition-cum-trade fair showcasing more than 3,000 ready to sell houses began in the city today.
The expo, organised by the Real Estate Developers' Association of Odisha (Reda Odisha) will provide a range of facilities to visitors, including assistance from financial institutions, consultations with interior designers and policy makers, under one roof.
For people who want to get a close-up look at the properties, the expo is expected to be beneficial for the wide-range of properties on offer as well as to check on their viability.
"We were always fascinated by brochures, but one should also check the viability of the property. I have been betrayed twice before," said retired state government employee Bani Agrawal.
A part of the expo venue is earmarked for the property exhibition, which has four air-conditioned hangars, consisting of 200 kiosks for all real estate-related activities. The other part is for the trade fair.
"The focus of such events is to expose the visitors about the availability of homes in different locations at different values, the facilities and amenities offered, the feasibility of availing a home loan, a broad physical observation of the latest decorative items, furniture, electrical appliances and other such products," said Reda Odisha president Kantilal Patel.
Reda Odisha has made houses for all categories - high-income groups, middle-income groups, low-income groups and economically weaker sections - available at the expo. The prices of these houses range from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 1 crore and above for premium properties.
Despite an ongoing recession in state's the real-estate sector, experts believe the expo would bring relief to all stakeholders, including the association members and buyers.
