Kendrapara: Rath yatra was observed here in Tulashi Khetra, the abode of Lord Baldevjew, with thousands of devotees pulling the chariot.

Unlike Jagannath's chariot journey in Puri, here it is a two-day affair. Traditionally, the chariot here is pulled a day after the Puri event.

Rain did not deter thousand of devotees to gather at the Grand Road to witness the chariot march of Lord Baldevjew, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra to the Gundicha temple. People belonging to various faiths gathered at the grand road to witness the annual event. The chariot's march goes on for two days as Baldevjew, being the Lord Jagannath's elder brother, holds an exalted place than his more famous younger brother.

That's why Tulashi Khetra's chariot is not only taller than that in Puri, but also its circumference and width is larger than the one that carries Jagannath.
