Balangir: Police have launched a drive to nab eve-teasers.

Various teams of Balangir police have positioned themselves at several locations of the town from where most cases of eve-teasing are reported.

The police were also nabbing bikers for rash driving and flouting traffic rules. Assistant superintendent of police of Balangir Sashi Bhusan Satapathy told The Telegraph that squads had been formed to deal with the "street Romeos" and eve-teasers.

"We have formed squads led by two assistant superinte-ndents and some newly appointed deputy superintend-ents to deal with 'street Romeos' and eve-teasers. We began the drive on Monday evening and many have already been taken to task. The action seems to already have had an impact as most areas of the city were peaceful on Tuesday," Satapathy said.
