10 injured in road accident
Balasore: Around 10 passengers, including women and children, sustained injuries after a bus, in which they were travelling, overturned near Dharipolo within Rupsa police limits on Friday. The injured were shifted to the district hospital.
Betting arrests
Umerkote: Two persons were arrested on charges betting on Indian Premier League matches following a raid at a house on Umerkote-Raighar Road on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of bookie Ramiz Hingora and nabbed him and his aide Srinabas Rao. The cops also recovered Rs 18.80 lakh in cash, a laptop, five mobile phones, a TV, diaries and calculators from the house.

Sambalpur: The Junior Doctors’ Association of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Burla will stop work from May 1 over their demands, said association president Shankar Ramchandani.
