Dhauli foundation day celebration

Delegates release a book on the 45th foundation day of the Dhauli Peace Pagoda in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.The Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha celebrated the occasion in the presence of monks from Japan, America, England, Thailand and Nepal. On the occasion, a book, Dhauli: Past and Present by Dr Bimalendu Mohanty was released. Speaking on the occasion, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani said: “The government gives importance to the development of Buddhist destinations in Odisha and Dhauligiri, a historical place where emperor Asoka took the path of non-violence preached by lord Budhha after the Kalinga War has always been a priority.” Telegraph picture
