Bhubaneswar, June 28: The three-day cultural festival of the East Coast Railways ended on Monday evening at the community hall in Rail Vihar.
An array of entertaining performances was showcased on the final evening. Apart from music and dance the dramas performed were very inspiring. Almost all of the plays staged during the event were revolved around the theme of patriotism and unity.
“The cultural festival will prove as a platform to showcase the hidden talents of the employees and their family members. This entire region is rich with cultural heritage and such events will go a long way in enhancing the same,” Arvind Kumar Vohra, general manger, East Coast Railway, had said.
The various categories included in the event were classical vocal (solo), light vocal (solo), instrumental (solo), classical dance (solo), classical dance(group), light folk dance (group), drama and contemporary modern dance.
The Cultural Association of East Coast Railway headquarters was adjudged as the Group Champion. Railway divisions at Khurda Road, Sambalpur and Visakhapatnam; Carriage Repair Workshop at Mancheswar and Headquarters office at Bhubaneswar had participated in the event.
