Sambalpur: Sambalpur University will introduce a course in Chinese language course from the 2018-19 academic year.

An agreement has been signed between the university and Calcutta-based Chinese Language Centre on Wednesday .

Vice-chancellor Deepak Behera and counsel general of Chinese embassy Ma Jayanshu signed the agreement in the Chinese embassy. The duration of the certificate course will be of six months, said a source from the university.

The university will also start a certificate course in French from the coming academic session.
