Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: Laxmi Bilasini, wife of the BJD's Choudwar MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal, today deposed before the CBI for her alleged links with money deposit collection company Seashore.
The CBI summoned her on December 2, asking her personal appearance for probe related to a land deal between her and the Ponzi firm.
Sources said Laxmi Bilasini was quizzed for around 90 minutes in connection with the 2011 land deal. The role of Laxmi Bilasini came under scanner after the CBI found deal of land measuring 32 gunthas at Benapur village in Jajpur district between the group and her.
Laxmi Bilasini, however, said she was summoned to provide some original documents related to the land deal. "The money transaction of the land deal was properly documented, and I have submitted those. However, the CBI has been asking for some original documents, and I am here to fully co-operate with them," she told reporters after coming out of the CBI office.
The CBI had summoned her on November 26, too, to appear before them within two days. However, she had sent a representative on November 28, which forced the CBI to summon her again asking for her personal appearance.
In November 2014, Laxmi Bilasini had appeared before the investigating agency with her husband, a three-time MLA.
