Bhubaneswar, June 25: The cup of troubles runneth over for Odia actor Pappu Pom Pom alias Tatwa Prakash Satpathy. A trust named Friends Foundation today filed a complaint against the actor alleging that he had asked a minor girl to engage in sexual acts with him to get a role in a movie.

The trust has lodged the complaint at Mahila police station and asked the police to investigate the matter and arrest the accused. The complaint also names the son of a film producer, Gitu. The complaint was lodged following an allegation made by the minor girl on a local television channel recently.

President of the trust Babita Kar said the police should investigate the matter and arrest the accused. "The investigation should be expedited and the accused arrested as soon as possible. We have filed the complaint based on the allegation made by the minor girl," said Kar.

According to the complaint, Pappu and Gitu tried to sexually harass minor girls promising them roles in movies. A few days ago, a girl made a statement that Pappu would ask her to meet him, but she never went alone as she heard that Pappu harassed girls.

However, Pappu was not available for comment, despite several attempts.

Two days later, another actress raised the same allegation against Pappu. She echoed the first victim. Friends Foundation said the complaint was filed today based on these revelations.

In another development, budding actress Sarmistha brought similar allegations against Odia film producers Bapi Jena, Subrat Nayak and Tapas today. She said all three had tried to harass her mentally and physically on the pretext of providing her a role in a soap opera.

Pappu made headlines after his alleged links with money laundering company Oscar were revealed. He allegedly took a loan of Rs 2.5 lakh from the company. He had also gone outside the state to promote the firm and asked people to invest in the company.
