Bhubaneswar: Veteran journalist and author Barendrakrushna Dhal died at his residence here on Tuesday. He was 77.

Tiger cubs

Bhubaneswar: One more tigress has given birth to cubs at Nandankanan Zoological Park on Tuesday. Bijaya, a white Royal Bengal tigress, gave birth to two cubs. With the birth of these cubs, the number of tigers at the zoo has increased to 26. Tigress Sneha had given birth to three cubs on Friday.

Bhubaneswar: Governor and chancellor of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Puri, S.C. Jamir appointed Radhamadhab Dash as its new vice-chancellor on Tuesday. Dash will succeed Gangadhar Panda whose tenure ends on August 11.
