Garbage dump

Bhubaneswar: The municipal corporation continued to dump garbage at Bhuasuni under heavy police protection for the 12th consecutive day on Monday. Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena also visited the dumping site on Monday to take stock of the situation. The civic body unloaded 199 garbage-laden trucks. 

Body found

Rourkela: The body of an assistant sub-inspector of police was found near the railway tracks at Dharuadihi in Sundargarh district, police said on Monday. ASI Dushmanta Bagh, who was posted at Dharuadihi, had reported at the police station on Sunday. His body was found a few hours later, around noon. 

Snakes 

Baripada: Dukura range forest officials rescued a python and a king cobra on Monday and released  them in the Similipal sanctuary. Both of them were rescued from Sapachuan village. The male python, measured 8 feet, while the male king cobra measured 12 feet.

Fisherman

Rayagada: The body of a fisherman, who had been missing for the past three days, was found near Balaramgadi on Monday. He has been identified as Srikanta Singh, a native of Moroda. Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
