Water bodies

Bhubaneswar: The state-level sanctioning committee of RKVY has approved a new scheme which aims to create 400 hectares of water bodies in private land across the state during 2016-17 with a subsidy assistance of 50 per cent thereby increasing inland fish production to meet the demand of the state as well as to ensure income generation and employment through propagation of aquaculture in the state.

Eligibility test

Cuttack: A total of 98,850 candidates will take the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test scheduled to be conducted on August 3, said Board of Secondary Education president D.P. Nanda. The test will be held in two sittings at 206 centres.

Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The vigilance department on Monday seized property worth Rs 75 lakh, belonging to the former assistant director of the Directorate of Factories and Boilers, Motilal Gouda. He was arrested for faking gazette notification.

Talent search

Bhubaneswar: The tenth edition of the Young Astronomer Talent Search will be launched at the state secretariat on Tuesday. Science and technology minister Pradeep Panigrahi and the principal secretary of the science and technology department C.J. Venugopal will be present on the occasion.
