Refund claim Threat cuffs IPL betting Accident

Refund claim

Cuttack: Additional district magistrate (ADM) of Cuttack on Wednesday asked investors from across the state to submit their claims for refund of money invested in deposit collection schemes of Rose Valley Group of Companies. In a public notice, the ADM has invited “claim application” for refund of deposits. It has asked the investors to submit their refund applications with the tehsildars with necessary documentary proof. “Tehsildars will start accept applications from June 1 to June 21,” ADM (Cuttack) Bibhuti Bhusan Das said. 

Threat cuffs

Sambalpur: Six persons were arrested in connection with a threat call to Shankar Ramchandani, the president of the Junior Doctors’ Association of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (Vimsar), Burla. Ramchandani had received the threat call from an unidentified person on Saturday night. The accused persons are all security guards at the medical institute. They are Parameswar Sahu, Sushil Bag, Sasti Kumbhar, Jalendra Sindria, Munu Sethy and an attendant of the cardiology department K. Duryodhan Reddy.

IPL betting

Berhampur: The police on Wednesday arrested three persons for indulging in betting in the ongoing Indian Premier League. A police team led by the inspector of BNPur police station, Ajaya Kumar Mishra, raided a rented house in Chandan Nagar in Lanjipalli. The arrested persons include the mastermind Khirod Kumar Gurum from Bidyutpuri Colony, Ambika Prasad Padhi of Nilanchal Nagar and the owner of the house, A. Krishna Murty Rao.

Accident

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons were seriously injured when an SUV carrying them hit a stationery trailer at Khandagiri at around 3am on Wednesday. Five of the injured have been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences while one has been shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
