Proxy students

Bhubaneswar: Invigilators on Wednesday identified five proxy examinees in the High School Certificate (HSC) examination at a school in Bhadrak. The five were Plus II students and were appearing at Vera Sahajog High School, Balimed. One of the proxy candidates was found to be the daughter of the school's principal.

Cuttack: The Supreme Court-appointed high-level committee for enquiring into the functioning of consumer protection courts across the country on Wednesday began its study with Odisha as the first state. The three-member committee is looking into matters such as infrastructure requirement of state panels, vacancies at national commission and district forums, need for additional benches of national, state and district panels, salary and service conditions of forum members, difficulties faced by litigants and more.
