Transport deal

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) will, on Tuesday, ink a pact with World Resources Institute to tackle issues of public transportation in the city and help find solutions. The purpose of this deal would be to establish the basis and structure of collaboration between the two organisations. The agency will provide the BDA with technical assistance in its smart city proposal.

Medical cadre

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday reorganised the Odisha Medical Cadre. According to the reorganised structure, the number of posts have been increased to 1,330 across the state and two new posts — additional director I and additional director II — have been created.

Conclave

Bhubaneswar: President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the Prabasi Odia Sammilani 2017, being organised by the Odisha Forum, in Delhi on January 6.

IPS rejig

Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Lalit Das, currently posted as special secretary, has been promoted to additional director general in a minor rejig in the state’s IPS cadre.
