Bhubaneswar: : Chief secretary AP Padhi on Tuesday held a meeting on the status of the smart city project in the city. He asked the officials to expedite the process of inviting tenders for projects, including railway station multi-modal hub, smart traffic lighting system and the housing project for slum dwellers, on Janpath. Discussions were also held to make efforts to begin work on the multi-level parking facility at Unit-II and near Saheed Nagar

Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing of Odisha crime branch on Tuesday arrested the managing director of Apollo Builders Deepak Mohanty from the city on the charges of duping Rs 3 crore from investors. The realtor failed to handover apartments to the investors, crime branch sources said.

Pappu remark

Puri:Odia actor Pappu PomPom was regretful about his remarks against Lord Jagannath at a cultural function in Puri recently. This came after Jagannath Sena, a body fighting for promotion of Jagannath culture, lodged a complaint against Pappu Pompom on Tuesday for making derogatory remarks on Lord Jagannath. The complaint was lodged at the Sea Beach police station.
