Children drown

Kendrapara: Three children drowned in Kendrapara  district on Monday in three separate incidents while sailing paper boats in village ponds on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. Manoj Mohanty, 3, Sudhanshu Nayak, 4, and Kishor Sutar,12, drowned, while sailing the paper boats, a police source said. 

Juvenile held

Kendrapara: A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on Monday on charges of attempting to break into an ATM in Kendrapara district. The incident happened on Sunday. His four accomplices are absconding, said a police source.

Six arrested

Bhubaneswar: Six persons were arrested on Monday for forcing a minor girl into prostitution. The arrested persons have been identified as Puja, Niranjan Pradhan, Hadibandhu Rout, Prasanna Sahoo, Lucky Pradhan and Pappu Sahu. Cops said that the minor was raped twice by Niranjan Pradhan and Prasanna Sahoo. 

Accident

Baripada: Two youths died and another sustained severe injuries after they fell from a motorcycle near Munsibandha on the outskirts of Baripada town in Mayurbhanj  district on Monday.
