Croc attack

Kendrapara: A 45-year-old man was grievously injured following an attack by an estuarine crocodile in Gobari river on Monday afternoon. Rajiv Behera, a fisherman from Ramnagar village in Mahakalpada, was bathing in the river while the crocodile attacked him.   

Encephalitis

Bhubaneswar: A girl from Dabuguda village in Koraput died of suspected Japanese encephalitis at Koraput Hospital on Tuesday. Another person succumbed to the disease in Malkangiri, taking the encephalitis toll to 45 in the last one month.

Sex racket 

Bhubaneswar: Dhauli police busted a sex racket operating from a rented house at Nuagaon Indira Housing Colony on Monday night. Acting on a tip-off, the cops raided the house and arrested the kingpin of the racket. The cops also rescued four sex workers from the spot. The police said both the kingpin and the sex workers are from Bengal.
