Sarathi case
Cuttack: A special court in Cuttack denied the bail plea of self-styled spiritual leader Sarathi baba on Monday. Soumendra Kumar Rajguru, judge, special court SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, rejected the bail application on the ground that he did not deserve bail. Sarathi is lodged at the Choudwar jail after his arrest on August 8. The court of the sub divisional judicial magistrate, Cuttack, had earlier rejected his bail plea.
Industry move
Bhubaneswar: The state government on Monday decided to prepare comprehensive development plans for eight industrial clusters. These clusters are Paradip, Rourkela, Talcher-Angul-Meramundali, Sambalpur, Berhampur, Jharsuguda, Joda and Barbil. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik directed officials to complete preparation of the comprehensive development plan by March next year.

Bhubaneswar: Police on Monday arrested six persons in connection with setting ablaze a sand-laden truck at Damana Square on Thursday night following the death of a youth who was run over by the
vehicle.
OAT protest
Bhubaneswar: The cease work agitation launched by the Odisha Administrative Tribunal (OAT) Bar Association and bars across the state last week to protest against the state government’s decision to abolish the OAT continued on Monday amid indications that the lawyers would intensify their agitation from Tuesday.
