Security increased AIPMT results Ayush mission Temple meet Man dies

Security increased

Baripada: The state has beefed up security in pockets of Mayurbhanj district along Jharkhand and Bengal following reports of movement of Maoists in the area. The Special Operations Group (SOG), CRPF and state police have intensified operation in these pockets. Police said that Maoists might have ventured in to the district following operations in Bengal and Jharkhand.

AIPMT results

Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday announced the results of the All India Pre Medical Test. Nearly 37,000 students had appeared in the examination at 33 centres in Bhubaneswar and four centres each in Berhampur and Rourkela. Students can get their results from the AIPMT website www.aipmt.nic.in.

Ayush mission

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Monday flagged off the National Ayush Mission. State health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said that the government is contemplating setting up a 50-bed Ayush hospital at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

Temple meet

Puri: A meeting of the Chhattisha Niyog at the Puri Jagannth temple failed to reach a consensus whether idols from the sanctum sanctorum would be shifted for the repair of the 12th century shrine.

Man dies

Balasore: A 27-year-old man died in a mishap while loading a truck in Sahadevkhunta. The deceased has been identified as Dharini Dhar. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
