Minor raped

Bhubaneswar: Police on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old on charges of raping a nine-year-old at Bharaatpur on the city outskirts. The accused identified as Duryaodhan Das allegedly raped the minor girl after finding her alone in the house on Saturday night. Police said that the parents of the victim came to know about the incident from their daughter later.

Body found

Bhubaneswar: A decomposed body was found in Puri Canal near Balianta on the outskirts on Sunday afternoon. Locals suspected it was the body of a local youth who went on missing while taking a bath at the canal three days ago. Police recovered the body and started a probe.

Heist foiled

Bhubaneswar: Police on Sunday arrested three criminals from Chandrasekharpur area while they were planning to commit a robbery in the area on Sunday evening. The cops have seized a pistol and other weapons from the accused. 

Knot usual

Bhubaneswar: A young couple tied the knot in police station in Jajpur district. The wedding took place at Jajpur Road police station with the blessings of parents of both bride and groom. The duo earlier fled after their family members opposed their marriage.
