Bhubaneswar, Jan. 25: Bollywood films have come to the aid of corporate managers. But rather than entertain them, the films are being used to hone their skills in corporate social responsibility.

Four feature films have been included in the curriculum of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar to train senior managers of Tehri Hydro Development Corporation.

The movies — Well Done Abba, Swades, Chak De India and Manthan — are being dissected to learn the skills of community mobilisation and institution building. As managers like to learn through discussion rather than discussing theory, the training pedagogy has been changed with the help of this module.
