Balasore, Feb. 13: The district police today took the trio who were accompanying TV actor Raja Patnaik on the day of his mysterious death to the spot where the incident took place.
TV actress Jessy, alias Pralipta Priyadarshini Samal, event manager Pralaya Jena and driver of the car Dhaneswar Behera were taken to the spot. They maintained that Raja had fallen off the bridge over river Kansabansa on Sunday morning.
The three were summoned for interrogation, following a complaint lodged by the deceased's uncle Amiya Patnaik, who alleged his nephew was murdered by them. A case has been registered under Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.
Jena and Behera were also interrogated on Thursday. Jessy was interrogated yesterday after she appeared before Soro police.
Balasore police superintendent of police Niti Sekhar said a special team comprising inspectors in charge of Soro, Remuna and Industrial police stations were conducting the investigation.
"The trio were taken to the spot near the bridge and they showed how Raja fell. We found their versions consistent. However, their polygraph test will be conducted within a week," said the inspector in-charge of Soro police station, Parsuram Sahoo.
