Members of Paribartan, a youth group, take part in a procession to promote blood donation during Sunday's Raahgiri event in Bhubaneswar.

The event on Sunday marked 25 weeks since it kicked off in Januray, 2016. The event was conceived to promote non-motorised modes of transport. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and the Bhubaneswar Development Authority, which jointly host Raahgiri, organised a series or programmes to mark the occasion.

Ama Kalakar Parivar presented popular songs composed by Odia muisc directors and Bollywood stalwart R.D. Burman. Music bands from Sai International School and Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University also performed at the event. The organisers also felicitated organisations that had lent support to the initiative since the beginning. These organisations had been involved in hosting activities to popularise non-motorised modes of transport and encourage walking, cycling, yoga, skating, painting, health-check-ups and music.

Sunday's event also had several programmes promoting greenery and making the city children-friendly.
