Balasore, Dec. 7: Police today arrested two persons involved in human trafficking.

The accused have been identified as Sunil Sethi, 23, from Kumbhari village and Lingaraj Dey, 25, from Nepura village in Baliapal block. Two other accused are still at large.

Krushna Chandra Palai, inspector in charge of Baliapal, confirmed the arrest.

The accused had trafficked a minor girl from Baliapal and forced her into flesh trade in Mumbai.

After about four months, the victim managed to escape from Mumbai and reached her home on Friday. She then lodged a complaint with Baliapal police yesterday.

The girl, 15, had a love affair with Sunil, who had promised to marry her. In August, she had come to her maternal uncle's house in Rangamatia. On her way home, Sunil and Lingaraj took the girl to a hotel in Digha and sexually assaulted her.

After some days, they sold her to Sudhir Jena, a pimp, from Chandaneswar, who then sold her in Mumbai.
