UNDER-18 I-LEAGUE

Shillong, Nov. 19: Royal Wahingdoh moved to the top of the under-18 I-League Shillong-Guwahati zonal round with a 1-0 victory over Rangdajied United at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here today.

After RWFC twice hit the woodwork in the first half, Heibormi Talang scored the decider for the Royals in the 47th minute to give his team 10 points from four outings.

Shillong Lajong are in second place with seven points, followed by Sports Authority of India (Guwahati) with six and Guwahati FC with three. RUFC are bringing up the rear, having yet to secure a single point in four games.

Tomorrow SAI will take on Guwahati FC.

Softball: The Manipur Softball Association, under the aegis of SBAI will be organising the East Zone Softball (M&W) Championship 2015 to be held at Imphal from November 27-29 at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal.

Junior football: The All Manipur Football Association will be organising the 19th Sub-Junior and 27th Junior Boys Inter-District Football Tournament, 2015, from tomorrow on artificial turf, Khuman Lampak, in Imphal. Football: Super Star, Makum, defeated Bismile Football Club 1-0 in the second semi-final of the Ninth Gold Cup Football Tournament at Chetia Gaon field in Chabua.

Inter-garden football: Belogoni Tea estate beat Singlijan Tea estate 6-4 via-tie-breaker in the Arun Jalan Inter-Garden Running Trophy Football Tournament at Mokalbari tea estate playground in Dibrugarh.
