Imphal, Jan. 12: Tiddim Road Athletic Union moved to the final of the 58th Sir Churchand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2014-15, getting the better of Manipur Police Sports Club by 5-3 goals during tiebreak, at Khuman Lampak main stadium today.

The former runners-up Tiddim Road Athletic Union will clash with Tiddim Road Unique Gamy Players Union in the final on Wednesday.

The second semi-final witness saw Tiddim Road Athletic Union and Manipur Police Sports Club locked in a 2-2 goal draw during regulation hours.

Tiddim Road Athletic Union scored immediately on taking the field, with Kh. Naoton Singh ruffling the net in the 16th minute and N. Sushil Meitei consolidated in the 44th minute to dominate the first half.

However, Manipur Police surged back in the match and their persistent efforts paid off in the 66th minute when Th. Kiran Singh came up with the team's first goal.

Hangsing fetched the equaliser in the 80th minute.

In the subsequent tie-break, Manipur Police could convert only one kick through K. Benjamin while Ibothoi, Priyokumar and Somochandra failed to push home.

For Tiddim Road Athletic Union, A. Herojit, N. Sushil Meitei and Wongramchan PS perfected their kicks while Meino Singh's effort went waste.

Veteran's cricket: Model Club posted a huge 126-run win over KSC Nambulane in the 12th Manipur Veteran Cricket Championship 2014-15 at Luwangpokpa cricket stadium today. Model Club rode Tomba Singh's unbeaten knock of 117 runs while Mujibur got 27 runs to pile up 198 runs for four wickets. KSC bowler Gouminlun bagged two wickets.

In reply, the KSC were bundled out for a mere 72 runs for 10 wickets from 18.2 overs. Model bowler Mujibur picked up three wickets while Cherish and Chaoba got two wickets. Model batsman Tomba Singh was adjudged Man of the Match for his 117 runs from 82 balls.

Sepak takraw: Manipur Police Sports Club (A) claimed the champion's title of the YSSU State-Level Men's Open Trophy Cash-Prize Sepak Takraw Championship at Sagolband in Imphal West.

Manipur Police defeated SSB Assam 21-18, 21-16.
