Hailakandi reach under-15 final
Nagaon: Hailakandi entered the final of the under-15 Amarjit Sharma inter-district cricket championship by virtue of their first innings lead against NF Railway, as rain washed out play at 12.30 pm on Friday. Electing to bat, Hailakandi made 158 in 58.3 overs in the first innings and restricted the railway team to 98 in 27.1 overs. In the second innings, Hailakandi made 164 in 59.3 overs However, the NF Railway second innings never took off because of inclement weather.

Guwahati: Hind Yubak Association today beat Dhubri Cricket Coaching Centre by 14 runs in a second-round match of the Dhubri cricket league at Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah Stadium. Hind Yubak piled up 89 runs after restricting the rivals at 76 in 17.8 overs. Bijoy Singh picked up seven wickets for 14 runs in four overs.
Dibrugarh: Eight players from Tinsukia have made it to the state team for the national veteran athletics meet in Hyderabad from March 3. The players are Surjya Kanta Gogoi, Bolin Gohain, Badan Moran, Keshob Gohain, Sabir Ahmed, Dhurba Sharma, Biren Das and Promila Hazarika-Gogoi.
