Hockey probables Nagaland meet Muay Thai Taekwondo Super Division Nagaland TT Jorhat win

Hockey probables

Guwahati: Assam hockey players Saurav Goswami and Moon Hazarika have been invited to the national junior (under-18) selection camps in Mumbai from September 25. Assam Hockey Association secretary Tapan Das has been nominated selector by the Indian Hockey Federation to name the Indian squad for the Junior Asia Cup to be held in Hyderabad in November.

Nagaland meet

Kohima : Longsa Sports Association, Mokokchung, won the 1st Nagaland Open Volleyball title defeating G. Rio Club 25-16, 25-10, 25-17 on Saturday. Kitsu Bozou Youth Society came third.

Muay Thai

Guwahati: Dhrubajit Das of Assam won gold in the 6th National Amateur Muay Thai meet held at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bangalore. He won gold in the senior men?s 60 kg-63.5 kg weight category.

Taekwondo

Kohima: The 5th inter-school state-level taekwondo tournament ended in Dimapur on Saturday. King David School, Khatkhati, emerged champions. Hoketo Sumi of Zunheboto was the best fighter. Cambridge School, Dimapur and Livingston Foundation HS School, Dimapur came second and third.

Super Division

Guwahati: ASEB meet defending champions Assam Police Blues in the last and crucial match of the Guwahati Super Division football tournament at Nehru Stadium on Monday.

Nagaland TT

Kohima: The SRS inter-school table tennis tourney will be held on September 13 and 14 in Dimapur. Leo Club of Dimapur will organise it.

Jorhat win

Jorhat: Jorhat emerged champions in the 6th all-Assam Swimming meet organised by Bishnujyoti Swimming Association and Tezpur District Swimming Association that ended at Hazarapukhuri in Tezpur on Sunday. Jorhat won 33 gold, 20 silver and 31 bronze, followed by Guwahati and Tezpur in the second and third slots. Rajib Bora of Jor-hat and Bhargabi Gogoi of Guwahati were adjudged best swimmers.
