Nagaon, Sept. 29: Popular Assamese singer Mousumi Saharia was injured when the vehicle she was travell- ing in met with an accident on National Highway 37 at Kaziranga National Park today.

Police said Saharia, who was travelling on a Hyundai i10 from Sivasagar to Tezpur, sustained minor injuries on her head and shoulders when one of the wheels of the car came off.

The vehicle immediately ground to a stop after hitting a roadside concrete post.

She was admitted to Kanaklata Civil Hospital in Tezpur where she was stated to be out of danger.
