Guwahati, May 26: President of the Bongaon panchayat in Nalbari district Rita Dutta, accused of being involved in a blue film racket, today demanded a CBI probe into the scam busted by the CID recently.

Dutta, who was expelled from the AGP last year along with another girl from Bihampur village, Shikha Rani Bhattacharjee, was arrested by Belsor police for her involvement in the racket but later released on bail.

She claimed that the Congress and the AGP had cons-pired against her to malign her image.

Dutta claimed that the CBI probe was required to unearth the truth and expose the conspirators who have implicated her as well as several other girls for political mileage.

She also demanded that the report of the CID inquiry into the racket and her role in it be made public. Dutta said the “gang” which had fabricated charges against her was still active.
