Flood report

Guwahati: The flood situation in Assam has improved considerably with just one revenue circle, Sissiborgaon, in Dhemaji affected, a report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority said on Sunday.

Body found

Jorhat: The body of Prabin Patra, 38, was recovered on the railway tracks in Golaghat on Sunday. Government Railway Police suspected that Patra was hit by a train when he was moving along the tracks late on Saturday night.

Fire

orhat: A restaurant at Daily Bazar in Duliajan town in Dibrugarh district was gutted on Sunday.

BSNL move

Guwahati: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched a toll free number (18003456989) where people can report cases of underground optical fibre theft.
