Guwahati, Jan. 11: Don Bosco High School and Delhi Public School, Guwahati, entered the semi-finals of the Nabin Chandra Tamuly inter-school cricket tournament at Nehru Stadium here today.
Don Bosco defeated South Point by 43 runs while DPS got the better of City Montessori High School by five wickets to finish as toppers in their respective groups.
In a Group B encounter, Don Bosco opted to bat but were restricted to 132 for 8 in 25 overs.
For South Point, Priyankar Chakravorty bagged five for 35 in five overs to be named Man of the Match.
But the batsmen let South Point down as they were bowled out for 89 in 21.5 overs.
In a Group A match, City Montessori opted to bat, but were restricted to 92 in 20.1 overs. DPS chased the target in 15.4 overs, losing five wickets.
Tomorrow, DPS will play Srimanta Shankar Academy in the first semi-final while Don Bosco will take on Modern English School in the other.
