Guwahati: City Cricket Club won the Chandradhar Deka first River Rine T20 Invitation Prizemoney Cricket Tournament defeating Gauhati Town Club by seven wickets in the final at Judges Field here on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first in the match played under floodlights, GTC were restricted to a modest 104 for seven in 20 overs. In reply, CCC overhauled the target by scoring 105 for three in 14.1 overs.
Ranji player Rahul Hazarika topscored for CCC with 44 (7x4) and Romario Sharma remained unbeaten on 26 (3x4, 1x6).
Chandradeep Deka of CCC scalped three for seven to restrict GTC. Ram Kripal Gupta of GTC remained not out on 28 (2x4).
Chandradeep Deka was named Man of the Match while Abhijit Singha Roy of Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre was adjudged Man of the Tournament and Best Bowler. Hazarika was named the Best Batsman while Hrishikesh Tamuli of GCCC was named Best Fielder.
