Itanagar, May 25: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the BJP today demanded the resignation of chief minister Mukut Mithi over the government’s alleged involvement with a faction of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN).
The revelations were allegedly made by ministers before a special police team, which is investigating the matter based on entries on certain ministers and legislators made in the diary of an NSCN activist. General secretary of the BJP state unit Khiren Rijijo also released copies of the statements allegedly made by some of the ministers and MLAs before the investigation team.
“The statements of the ministers like T. Wangham, C.C. Singpho, Setong Sena and Congress legislators W. Lowang and L. Wanglat on the Congress government’s links with NSCN militants should not be taken lightly since they are holding Constitutional posts and are under oath of secrecy,” he said.
