Nagaon, Oct. 15: Defending champions 2 Assam Special Reserve Force will meet last year’s runners-up Tumpreng Sports Association in the final match of the 13th Karbi Anglong inter-sub association football championship at Hangjanglangsu football ground of Bokajan Sports Association tomorrow.

The Reserve Force team defeated Nillip Sub-Association 8-1 in the quarterfinals and Langhin Sub-Association 3-1 in the first semifinal match on Saturday.

Tumpreng defeated Kuligaon Sub-Association 7-1 in the quarterfinals and Diphu Sub-Association 6-5 in the semifinals yesterday.

Altogether 26 inter-sub association teams are participating in the tournament. Hosts Hangjanglangsu defeated Khatkhati Sub-Association 3-2 in the inaugural match on October 2.

Karbi Anglong Sports Association introduced the Morsing Ingti trophy in the tournament.

Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council chief executive member Mangalsing Ingti and deputy commissioner M. Angamuthu will attend the prize distribution ceremony as special guests tomorrow.
